Four Building Blocks to an EU‑Compliant AI System

Block 1

Initial Consultation and Classification of the Specific AI System and Its Organization

The AI initiative is assessed to determine whether it falls within the scope of the EU AI Act and whether action is required.

  • Based on this initial assessment and the differentiation between AI and non‑AI solutions, the AI initiative is classified in accordance with the risk categories defined by the EU AI Act.

Block 2

Design and Implementation of an AI Governance Framework

  • Potential risks related to AI systems are identified and followed by risk profiling based on the six pillars of the TÜV SÜD methodology: safety, legal compliance, security, ethics, performance, and sustainability.
  • The analysis clearly indicates whether measures are required within specific quality dimensions.

Block 4

Assessment Consulting

Consulting support is provided for the introduction of an AI Management System (AIMS), depending on the scope and application of the AI system, with two different scenarios to be considered.

  • Case 1: Based on the results of the gap analysis, the required measures are implemented to establish an appropriate AI Management System (AIMS).
  • Case 2: If a new AI system is being implemented, a gap analysis is not necessarily required. In this case, support is provided to introduce the AI initiative in compliance with the EU AI Act from the outset, ensuring that the target state of the gap analysis is achieved directly.
